You're ready!

Child mode & parent mode

One app, two views

Netzbereit adapts to whoever is looking. With a single tap you switch between child and parent mode, and each of you sees exactly what fits.

Child mode

Your learning journey, level by level

Netzbereit child mode: learning journey with individual stations on cyberbullying, strangers and private photos
  • Their own learning journey with levels, points and worlds to unlock
  • A quiz with real chat situations, with no pressure to score
  • iPhone steps to tick off themselves: your phone, your call
  • Reads nothing, tracks nothing, tells on no one
Parent mode

Set up the iPhone safely

Netzbereit parent mode: iPhone setup checklist with tickable steps and iOS paths
  • Every learning topic, compact and well-founded for adults
  • Your child's learning progress at a glance, never private content
  • Step by step through all the important iPhone settings
  • Protected by a gentle passcode prompt
Sound familiar?

Four worries almost every parent knows.

“Everyone in my class already has one!”

The class group chat is running without your child, and so are the plans made there. The pressure grows with every school day, and postponing forever isn't a strategy.

“Is my child even ready?”

Cyberbullying, strangers in online games, photos that never disappear. You're supposed to have the answers, and don't feel sure yourself.

“And then all those settings …”

Family Sharing, Screen Time, content restrictions: the iPhone has dozens of switches. Which ones actually matter, and in what order?

„And what about their grades?“

Constant notifications and a glance at the screen every few minutes: focus suffers, homework drags on, performance slips. How does the phone stay a tool instead of a constant distraction?

The Netzbereit way

Three steps from uneasy feeling to a confident start

Understand

Short learning units on 16 real topics, from cyberbullying to private photos. Each in two versions: age-appropriate for your child, well-founded for you.

Practice

Quizzes and challenges built on situations as they really happen. No score pressure, no shaming. Every answer teaches you both something.

Set up

A step-by-step guide walks you through every important iOS setting, from Family Sharing to Screen Time, at your own pace.

A look inside the app

What Netzbereit actually does

Practice situations before they happen

“While gaming, someone you don't know messages you …”: The quiz plays through real situations and explains the warning signs behind every answer. When it happens for real, your child has already rehearsed the response.

The quiz: real chat situations, safe responses

And you keep the overview, without reading along

The parent area shows you your child's learning progress and your own learning units. What it never shows: your child's messages, photos or location.

The parent area: see progress, not messages
For your child to read along

Hey, this part is for you.

Your parents are thinking about your first phone. Netzbereit is the app you'll use to prepare together. Here's what's in it for you:

  • Your own learning journey, with levels, points and worlds you unlock one by one.
  • A quiz with situations that actually happen, so nothing in a chat catches you off guard.
  • A list of setup steps you can do yourself. Your phone, your thing.

And a promise: this app doesn't read your stuff, doesn't track you and doesn't tell on you. It belongs to you just as much as to your parents.

  • Your feedback flows straight into the next versions.

Common questions

Is Netzbereit a monitoring app?

No, deliberately not. Netzbereit doesn't read messages, doesn't track location and doesn't report anything to parents. It's a learning and preparation app that child and parents use together. The parent area shows learning progress only, never private content.

What age is the app for?

For families with children between roughly 10 and 14, the phase when the first own smartphone is on the horizon. Every learning topic comes in one version for the child and one for the parents.

Do we need the app on two devices?

Not necessarily. The app has a child mode and a parent mode, so you can use it together on one device. Via Apple Family Sharing (“Share Purchases”), a single purchase also works on the whole family's devices.

Is Netzbereit available for Android?

Not currently: Netzbereit is an iPhone app, and the setup guide walks through the iOS settings. The learning topics and the quiz, however, cover situations that are the same on any smartphone.

What happens to our data?

It stays on your device. Netzbereit works fully offline, with no account, no servers and no tracking. The official App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. Uninstalling removes all local data.

My child already has a phone. Is the app still worth it?

Yes. Most topics (cyberbullying, strangers online, private photos, screen time) become more relevant once a child has their own phone, not less. The setup guide can also be done at any time.

How much does Netzbereit cost?

During the pilot phase, Netzbereit is free on the App Store. If you download it now, you keep it free for good, even after the pilot phase ends, and you help shape the app for every family with your feedback. New users will then pay a planned one-time €9.99. No subscription, no in-app purchases.

Well prepared for the first phone.

You decide how prepared you are. Start today, together.
